Chagdud Gonpa Foundation

Chagdud Gonpa Foundation was established in 1983 by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche to preserve Nyingma teachings and to provide instruction in the traditions of Vajrayana Buddhism, especially the arts, philosophy, and meditation practices. We sponsor many events and retreats throughout the year.

The foundation's largest North American center is Rigdzin Ling, located in the beautiful Trinity Alps region of Northern California. This busy hub administers the many Chagdud Gonpa Centers in North America.

The Tibetan Treasures catalog sales office, located at Rigdzin Ling, helps to support Chagdud Gonpa Foundation. A wide variety of books, recordings, dharma items, and imports are available.

Rigdzin Ling is also the home of Padma Publishing, the branch of Chagdud Gonpa Foundation devoted to translating sacred Tibetan texts and producing dharma-related books. A long-term project of translating Longchenpa's Seven Treasuries is also underway. Three of the volumes have been translated thusfar.

The Mahakaruna Foundation , established in 1982 by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, is an international Buddhist service organization that assists the old, sick, undernourished and undereducated peoples of Buddhist Asia, and helps preserve the ancient Buddhist heritage and culture of Tibet.

Chagdud Gonpa Foundation is a nonprofit organization, supported and maintained entirely by donations and volunteer labor. If you would like to support our efforts, please contact us.
